We had the good fortune of connecting with Donnie Howard and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Donnie, is your business focused on helping the community? If so, how?
I educate men and women about the harmful effects of sanitary pads and tampons and provide a potential solution to the problem with our Reign premium sanitary pads and liners. Since this is considered a taboo subject no one likes to talk about it but our mission is to raise awareness by educating people through healthy eating, healthy product choices and 5k run/walks. Our women have suffered in silence for far too long. We want them to protect the most precious jewels in the world which is themselves. The products that are on the market are not regulated on how they are made by the government because they are considered a cosmetic item that they are worn on the outside of the body. But they are worn against the most precious part of their bodies! They are made from recycled trash from the landfill, ground up and taken through an eight step bleaching process which creates a chemical called dioxin. Once dioxins get into a woman’s system it takes at least eight years for it to start to break down. The side effects of these toxins are heavy migraine headaches, severe cramps, nausea, heavy bleeding, fatigue, ovarian cysts, ovarian cancer, fibroid tumors, miscarriages, yeast infections, urinary track infection, PCOS, breast cancer, and hysterectomy. Hysterectomy are being performed at the rate of over 650 thousand a year here in the United States. Our pads are made of 98% cotton and 2% plant based materials. They are not bleached and don’t have the toxins in them. They are also infused with a Noble Prize winning material called Graphene which is the next big medical breakthrough according to margaret.com. We do testimonial calls every Tuesday morning and have over 200 calls of testimonials from people that have used our product. Our BBB rating is A+.
Most people ask me why as a man would I be doing demonstrations with a ladie’s sanitary pad and I then tell them my story. When I first saw the demonstration of this product I didn’t see a business opportunity I saw how my wife suffered from her teenage years with cramps so bad she would be balled up in a fetal position and bleeding for several days; all the way through her adult years until having a hysterectomy at age 38. When we were married she was 18 years old and I was 20. We waited for two years before starting our family and the first time she got pregnant she had a miscarriage. The next time she had our son Donnie Jr though it was a difficult pregnancy. Then we tried two more times each time she miscarried and at the age of 25 her doctor told us that if we tried again he was 99.9% sure she would not survive it. Fast forward to Donnie Jr getting married and his wife went through the same thing. So we don’t have any grandchildren and my genealogy stops with my son. So I told my wife Glinda we had to join the mission to help save our women. If we help one woman then our mission is worth the sacrifice of sharing our campaign. The testimonials are recorded and though we make no medical claims or health claims they are testimonies of actual users of our product. Women are saying after they use our product they don’t cramp anymore or not as bad, don’t have to take excess medication, and in some cases their cycles are shorter. I feel the social impact these products are having on society is the way women feel about their menstrual cycles and are no longer suffering in silence.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I was born in Jacksonville Texas and finished high school there and started college in Tyler Texas and landed a job with then Kelly Springfield tire company all in a matter of three weeks signing up for school. Later I quit college and got married to my high school sweetheart Glinda Price Howard.GoodYear tire company bought Kelly Springfield tire company and I worked there for over 32 & 1/2 years before they closed it down on a political move to break the union in 2007.Before all this happened I had made my mind up to retire at the age of 55 but was only 51 when they closed the doors. Having thought of early retirement I thought of supplementing my income with starting my own landscape company. When I started my business I would work from 6am until 2 pm in the afternoon for myself then work at the plant from 3pm until 11pm at night. I did this for almost 20 years and when they closed Good Year Tyler down. Because I was not able to retire because of my age the union had a clause in our contract that said if Good Year didn’t close all of their plants they had to pay the then laid off workers who didn’t take the retirement package they offered from a sub fund according to their age and years of service. I was able to draw from that sub fund for almost four years with it running out three months before my 55th birthday. Thank goodness I was able to draw unemployment for those three months later retirement with full benefits. When my uncle in Ypsilanti Michigan found out that the plant was in the process of closing and I had been laid off he introduced me to network marketing as a travel agent with an online shopping mall. This was unheard of in 2007 because everyone still believed in the idea of the brick and mortar physical stores never closing. So while working my traditional landscaping business I began to study the network marketing industry and fell in love with the idea of leveraged income. After doing this for years my mom developed dementia and I decided that since my retirement pension was coming in and I had a online business I could give up my landscaping business to spend more time with mom. I stayed with the travel business until 2019 where I was introduced to my current business opportunity with 6STAR/JEWEL LLC. in which I have direct business partners in over 31 different states. I get so excited when educating people about our products and hearing them share the results of how we have helped them in some way.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my best friend came to visit we could go and do and see so many things here as Tyler has much to offer. As a landscaper we have a beautiful event here called the Azalea Trails that every spring the azalea plants start to bloom in the Azalea district, or maybe go boating and fishing on lake Palestine, We have several high schools for all kinds of sports events and the second largest junior college in the united states with a planetarium
Several museums, newly renovated zoo, fine dining, University of Texas at Tyler Cowin Center for various cultural activities including symphony orchestra concerts and 5 k run walks Beauty And The Beast 26 miles bike ride and the beast is a two mile hill, car shows, rodeos, expos fitness gyms and other activities. Live music concerts with local musicians. Just about anything you could imagine we have it in Tyler!
