We had the good fortune of connecting with Dominique Salery and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Dominique, career-wise, where do you want to be in the end?
When I am at the end of my wedding planning career I would like to at least have 2 storefronts for brides can still go in and get wedding services. I also want to have a whole wedding team so we can be a one stop shop !
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
How I got to where I am today in my business is simply not giving up . I saw my vision with how I wanted my brand to look and I took it and ran with it . I still have more to accomplish but I am super happy how everything is coming out . I started planning weddings first then I brought in a decorator and she became my friend . She decided to focus more on her own business so I decided to get into decorating. It was very challenging and she still was around to help me . I started taking small decorating jobs and perfecting my craft with each wedding. Once I got to a point to I started an all in one inclusive deals and started offering rentals for a budget friendly cost.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Omg taco in the colony is so good ! Top golf in Dallas is a great place to visit , I love visiting Northpark mall in Dallas to do some shopping . Kitchen and cocktails is a great place downtown to eat .
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Shoutout to GOD! Thank you for all the brides who booked me, believed in me and took a chance on me!
