We had the good fortune of connecting with Dheandra Nicolette and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Dheandra, can you talk to us a bit about the social impact of your business?
When I started Manifest Daily it was originally meant to be a podcast that documented my journey. I started sharing stories about what I was struggling with along with changes I was making in my life in order to manifest the life I did want. I never imagined the impact it would eventually have.

I’ve had so many people message me on Instagram or email me to tell me how an episode helped them get through a tough period in their life. I’ve had people message me to tell me that a certain episode was exactly what they needed to hear when they needed to hear it. Those stories make my day. The authenticity and rawness behind my content is what makes it relatable for almost everyone that listens.

Manifest Daily started as an audio journal for me, but has grown to a show that not only encourages growth but equips my audience with the tools they need to make the most impactful changes in their life. 200K downloads and counting, Manifest Daily continues to reach and help new people every single day.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
It was easy and it wasn’t easy, at the same time, to start a podcast. Logistically, I used the internet to map out the tech steps. I bought a mic, I had my software to edit ready to go on the day I first started recording. However, growing from 30 downloads a month to 200K+ downloads and counting wasn’t easy.

In the beginning I struggled. I was spending hours making content that only me, my mom and my best friend listened to. Many times it felt pointless, but I kept recording because I knew this was part of the journey. I knew one day the beginning part of my story would be inspirational to someone who started off in a similar space as me and wanted to know they could grow, too.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I love really fun spots that help you create fun experiential memories. When my mom came to visit I found this spot in the West Village where we could go and make our own lipsticks. It was so much fun mainly because we got to learn about the cosmetics we wear every day, while making our own!

If a friend were to visit me next week, I’d definitely find some more fun spots like that! I’d look into some other cool things like horseback riding, visiting a far, cooking classes. Bars and dinner are great, but those fun hole in the wall experiences are even better in my opinion!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I definitely have to dedicate my shoutout to my mom. She’s always seen the vision of my creative pursuits, even when she had no idea what I was creating or how I was creating it. Whether it’s been a product business, my podcast or something else, she’s always encouraged me to keep going. She’s always reminded me about the power of patience and persistence.
