Meet DeVonte’ “Deeor” Harris | Fashion Designer & Creative Director

We had the good fortune of connecting with DeVonte’ “Deeor” Harris and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi DeVonte’ “Deeor”, what do you want your legacy to be?
I want my legacy to be grand of course! I want people to see me as an inspiration for doing your best in life every day. I want to leave this world helping people as much as I can. To show people anything is possible with faith and having a good heart. I believe I am here for a certain purpose higher than most and I know I am here to fulfill great things beyond just my art. I want to be a revolutionary in not just the fashion world, but in the actual world too. A one of kind that people can look up to and be inspired to do the right thing! I want people to remember me not only for my words, but my heroic actions. People have sweet words with rotten actions and my legacy will be different. When people hear my name they’ll say, “he’s the one”, he is the one who really changed the world for better. My name is going to be golden.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
My brand B.o.R By DeVonte’ Harris is a fashion/film based. I really just like to create. I like to design, shoot photos, and direct films. Being in college, knowing that it wasn’t for me, me and Rado would just creatively do random things. After discussion, we decided on creating the brand and I took the concepts to LA and from there the brand really grew. Being in LA, trying to make something of myself, I fell many, many times. I was discouraged and down on myself a lot, but the important thing was I overcame those down times. Praying and telling yourself every day you have purpose and that you are great, you can break those imaginary chains that hold you back from your dreams. I really build my brand from my spirit. If I don’t feel it I won’t work with it. No matter the money amount or person. That makes me different than a lot of other brands and artists. Everything I create, will have my heart spilled on it and with that comes sacrifices and tough times. People will know that B.o.R is a brand full of life and color. A brand that not only has beautiful art, but showing others they have great purpose as well. That is what makes me excited. I learned the most important things are believing in yourself, doing the right thing, and pushing through all adversity. We all have great wonders inside of us, but how far are you willing to go to unlock it?

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
We have to eat at some type of seafood restaurant of course. I am a sports fan so we have to check out some type of football or basketball games. Museums would be on the list and and even taking cool pictures around sunset. Really any other fun activities like arcades, movies, and even checking fabric stores.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to thank God of course! My loving and supporting family, my circle of friends, and everybody who has ever contributed to the brand. Also to the ones who came before me to help pave the way to make everything possible for me.
