We had the good fortune of connecting with D’Authentic Purpose and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi D’Authentic, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I just wanted to help make a difference and impact the world. With so much going on, I wanted to be the reason that someone doesn’t give up. To show that there is hope for the future. God blessed me with the idea to start Unite The Community Project Incorporated (UTCP) in 2021 and I haven’t looked back. There are so many homeless people in the world and I wanted to make a big impact in some way. It was more than a thought; it was a vision and I had to make it happen. I know what it is like to be homeless and without, to struggle, not knowing what to do or what was going to be my next move. It was more than a thought, it was a vision. I just had to do it.

What should our readers know about your business?
I help the homeless and others in need in communities that need the extra assistance. I have made emergency sack lunches to take to the shelter. In the summer, I put out coolers filled with cold ice water in random locations, such as a busy intersection, parks, and around places where the homeless traffic is growing. Where it is needed. These coolers are for anybody. This is Texas and it gets hot in the summer. There are people walking everywhere, some don’t have transportation, some people or waiting to be picked up by Via, Uber, or some other public transportation. These Hydration Station Coolers comes in handy and it’s there at the right place at the right time. Even at the park. People run out of water and instead of leaving to go get something to drink, these coolers are readily available to anyone. I do what I can with what I have. I even have ‘I’m G.O.O.D.’ bags for the homeless that I make. These bags consist of first aid kits, socks, washcloth, non-perishable items, just to name a few. Anything worth having is worth working hard for. The road to success is never easy, you must keep going and stay focused. Without failure, you can’t grow. I face every challenge head on and when I find that something doesn’t work, I find another way. Whatever it takes, I just want to make a difference.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
There are so many people that deserve credit. From my family and friends, to strangers on the street. I have a strong support system behind me pushing me to keep going. The one person that has pushed me the most, is my beautiful fiancée, she has been my biggest fan and supporter throughout this entire journey. Helping me achieve things that I never thought I would be able to achieve. I can’t leave out the Man above, without Him, there is no me. I listened to that little voice in my head, telling me that there is something more that I am supposed to be doing in this life. Something that no one has ever done before. We all know that there is no task too big for God, he will always see you through whatever it is that you are doing. We are all born with a gift and it is up to us to use that gift and purpose, and present it to the world.
