Hi Dalia, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
In starting my own business, I was strongly influenced by my father who was a business owner himself. From a young age I knew I wanted a life of entrepreneurship. Freedom over the 8-5 is something I longed for.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
The road to entrepreneurship was not easy, and is not for most. I took the chance and bet on myself with the goal to not be successful but to be valuable. Something I remembered was this quote, “Be all in or get all out. There is no halfway.” Over the last sixteen years, I have developed a passion for hair removal and skin care. After attending cosmetology school, I opened my first Spa at the age of 23. Hair removal and skin care management has been one of my primary areas of focus to find the best hair removal method possible and refine the techniques used. As I have developed this expert knowledge, I found that the best way to share with other esthetic professionals this effective and gentle way of hair removal was to become an educator and consultant. I have been an Esthetics educator and consultant for the last thirteen years. I find immense value and satisfaction in teaching others and certainly enjoy sharing my knowledge through social media platforms.

I consider my passion for esthetics as an investment in my client’s health that can last a lifetime. I take my work seriously and have spent countless hours working and collaborating with scientists and chemists to develop a gentle and effective ingrown hair serum and soaps and other body products for my clientele. I take pride in keeping current with the latest trends in skincare and certainly product knowledge. It is essential that I invest in my own knowledge so that I am able to provide exceptional care to all the clients I serve as well as the students I teach.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Anyone visiting the DFW area, I would take to The Sound at Cypress Waters. It has a small town feel and is great for families, it’s filled with fun outdoor activities. It overlooks the lake, and has a splash pad and dog park. So, it really is fun for the entire family! They’re also small business friendly, showcasing local vendors and artists.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Yes! I have a best esthetician buddy, Jamie Renee Nelms. She values the spirit of community over competition. As two women entrepreneurs it is so important to have good colleagues in your corner.
