We had the good fortune of connecting with Corliss Anderson and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Corliss, what habits do you feel helped you succeed?
My ability to stay FOCUS on a task and complete it before moving on. Being able to set my mind on a goal and not allowing anyone to STOP me.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
At Buzzing Core Academics LLC, we truly believe children are first, last, and only. Meaning we believe the time we spend with your child is precious and we will not take that for granted. We aim for excellence by taking time to learn your child’s learning style, and by working with our parents to provide the best learning experience for them. All children at Buzzing Core Academics LLC are special which is why our staff receives the best training available. Buzzing Core Academics LLC parents can leave knowing they have left their children in caring and loving hands. We also offer small class sizes to give each child the one on one they deserve. Buzzing Core Academics LLC is not your traditional childcare center. We take pride in providing educational field trips and in-house nutritious programs. We are able to be where we are by providing a family-like atmosphere. Every person that walks to our door is family and each child is special. this may look easy to someone on the outside HOWEVER it’s not. It takes a lot of prayer and passion to be close to where we currently are.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Many may not know but I enjoy being at HOME. A idea day for me is going to the local farmers market. There are many different eateries located right at the market. One of my favorites is Vegan Vibrationz. While enjoying so good food and drinks, we would shop at all the local vendors. This place has some of the most interesting people Dallas has to offer.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
In my case their are 6 individuals who has been amazing during my journey. For starters my husband Mr. Corey Anderson. What can I say about him that I have not already told him. My voice of reason and most of all my listening ear. Corey has encourage me to continue when I was ready to quit, Reminded me of my calling and most of all fought a long side of me. My mother in LOVE Dorothy Anderson. This woman of God is nothing but AMARZING. Helping me anyway she can is a understatement. My parents(Esau & Rebecca Booker) the TURTH. Even when I decided to open during a unsure time it was my parents who reminded me “I can do all things through CHRIST who strengthen me”. Chloe Anderson the oldest of my three children. This young lady has seen the work I put into making my Brand what it is and no matter what she protect it at all cost. My Sisters ( Chandra McNeal & Joy Perry) what can I say these ladies help me understand parts of business I never considered. They showed my the importance of being professional and keeping TURE to myself. How balancing work and family is very important and keeping time for ME is even more important. Last my sister in Christ ( Cleoria Snead) every since I can remember she has been a BIG part of my LIFE. Even more now that I am a adult. The telephone calls to the just checking on you text means the world to me. See I learned a long time ago that it’s no such thing as “Self Made”. Instead it takes a village to see your DREAM become REALITY.
