We had the good fortune of connecting with Coral Isamar and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Coral, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
I pursued an artistic/ creative career such as photography, because life has to be captured. I ask myself why do we feel the need to take photos and videos of everything? I think we’re afraid that a magical moment in our life could be forgotten. Being able to captivate people’s memories brings joy to me as well as it will bring to others as they look back and relive those moment within that photograph.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Everyone in the photography business has their own unique style of capturing photographs but at the end of the day we’re here to capture pure moments of joy in others life’s and be part of their experiences. I would not be where I am today if it wasn’t for those who trusted me to be a part of their journey and who kept pushing me constantly to keep going and growing my business. Day by day we grow to be the better version of ourselves and that goes with being consistent. I want everyone to know that if a photographer is interested in the people in front of their lens and if they are compassionate it’s already a lot, the instrument is not the camera but the photographer, the role of a compassionate photographer extends far beyond snapping pictures valuing the emotions, stories and vulnerabilities of those being photographed.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I am raised in Dallas, Tx which has so many great places to visit. I would start with breakfast or brunch at one of my favorite locations at The Dream Cafe located in Uptown. Proceed with some shopping afterwards at Northpark mall or if wanting to do some ice skating head towards Galleria Mall. Catch a movie at AMC at Village on the parkway as well as trying the famous Pluckers wingbar.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would love to give that recognition to my parents since they got me my first camera. They experienced first hand as to when I would pull out my phone and just take pictures of anything or anyone. They saw how I fell in love with capturing memorable moments.
