We had the good fortune of connecting with Cody Davis and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Cody, what do you attribute your success to?
Everything I’ve done to this point was because I recognized my differences as a person and capitalized on them. I used to try to fit into the mold that my environment set for me, but I realized this just held me back because I have more to offer to the world. Knowing there’s people out there that need someone to show confidence for them is what makes me want to go harder. Success is something I’m trying to earn every day; People are going to root against you but that’s what it takes to be successful. Rolling with the punches.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
My business is what I love doing the most out of anything I’m involved in. I offer marketing services, specifically brand strategy. I have downloadable digital products to help you build your personal or business brand including social media optimization, content creation guides, & more on the way soon. I do online brand coaching for start-ups and solopreneurs (one person business) as well as host weekly networking events, webinars, and podcasts. I have a weekly newsletter called Better Branding that I release every Friday at noon that you can subscribe to on my website.

I also model and take acting classes because that’s something I’ve wanted to do since I was younger. I’ve been featured in a number of local music videos, commercials, & shows. My favorite styles of modeling are print, fashion, commercial, and fitness. If Vogue or GQ wants me on a runway, we’ll do that too.

I’ve been boxing competitively for a little over 3 years now in the Amateurs, I’m looking to win USA Nationals & National Golden Gloves at Light-Heavyweight in 2023. Big shoutout to my coach Tristan Ellison at TeamTEF Boxing in Frisco.

Building and maintaining a business or a multidisciplinary lifestyle is not an easy process, I just learn from my failures. Never make the same mistake twice and know that you can do anything you put your mind to, just start and stay consistent. This takes scheduling and being stingy with your time… learn to say no.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Dallas has so many things you could do, it really depends on what kind of person and what you like doing. Not every area is for everyone, the answer would change depending on what you like. I personally like the whole city in general, as long as there’s a motive for the day/night, I’m with it! If I had to pick a food spot, S & J’s Hot Chick is something different.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I don’t want to say any names because I might miss some, but I want to thank the people who gave me hope when I was down the worst. It’s not hard to see who is really there for you when you need it the most.
