Meet Ciara Alford | Mentor

We had the good fortune of connecting with Ciara Alford and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Ciara, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
To be Honest when I was 12 years old I lost my Hero, my confidant, my lifeline My aunt Kathy taught me literally everything I knew up until that point it was after she Passed away that Life became a struggle for me I had to learn how to live life without her so I shut down didn’t really connect with anyone else no one related to me and I wasn’t looking for help either so what I am as a Mentor I’m the window I’m everything to my girls that I wanted someone to be to me.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Being a Mentor isn’t easy and it’s been a long Journey in my early 20’s I had so many things I still didn’t deal with from my past I connected with my Mentor Dr. Meme Brown out of Houston Texas when I tell you we found the root of the issues and worked them out I was a Mentee for about 2 years before she was comfortable to release me to do my work during the time I was challenged to Live in the moment while being honest about my reality it taught me patients and I had a clear understanding on what my assignment was I’m a very great listener and im able to meet the ladies where they are

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I would take to my history let them know where I come from we would definitely ride through my old neighborhood she some of my old friends just so they could get a better understanding of who I am we would go downtown to the Cheesecake Factory and take it to go and eat at the Fort Worth water gardens it’s a peaceful historic spot downtown other than that I’m more of home body so if they wanted to do things TikTok would really be our go to lol

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My Mom literally has been my Go to person My business partner she answers all of my questions she is very patient with me I think it’s my nieces that tapped her soft side but I love it we are smashing all our goals together weather it’s business, personal, health, relationship Twin be on it thank you Mama I love you soooo much
