We had the good fortune of connecting with Christine Trimpe and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Christine, looking back, what do you think was the most difficult decision you’ve had to make?
I recently left my thirty-two career in corporate America in accounting to pursue my calling to be a entrepreneur as an Author, Speaker, and Certified Health Coach. This took a tremendous leap of faith as I never in my wildest dreams saw this drastic pivot in my life. I went from being the Controller of a medium size organization to no secure bi-weekly source of income. I agonized over this decision for two years. As the stress of the career job increased, it became evident that I needed to take the risk and pursue my passion and build my ministry Joy•Fueled Living––Body, Mind, and Spirit. My stress is gone, and the risk is paying off in ways I never imagined.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
After thirty years of dieting failures, I lost complete hope in ever achieving health and wholeness. Little did I know that when I finally discovered a lifestyle (not a diet) that worked with my damaged metabolism that it would launch a brand new career in writing, speaking, and coaching.

I’m proud that I finally reached my weight loss goals that I longed for my entire adult life. I’m proud that I’ve found a sustainable lifestyle that not only fuels my body, but has reshaped my purpose in life and launched a new career.

Being an entrepreneur is an entirely new experience for me (at the age of 54). I am extremely grateful for my degree in business and my thirty-year career in accounting. This experience gives me a very solid foundation in building my new business.

A recent important lesson I’ve learned is to just launch! Just do it. I’ve successfully launched my “21 Days in 2021 Challenges” with unbelievable success. I was hoping for 10 women to sign up for the first challenge, and I had 102 women sign up. I had to get out of the way of myself, my doubts, and my fears and just launch.

Another important lesson, I launched because I have an excellent mentor and marketing coach. Invest in a mentor or coach. If I had not done that, I would still be stuck. Now I’m successfully launching challenges and building a faith-based membership community for women seeking joy and direction in their own transformation story.

My recent journey has sparked so much joy in my life, not only physically, but also emotionally and spiritually. I never knew what I was capable of and that I was actually created for a purpose to help people who find themselves stuck in their own hopelessness. I have been where they are and I know where they want to go…and I’m excited that my story and my ministry will help them find their own joy in their healing journey.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
When my friends and family visit, the best place to take them would be Northern Michigan. Particularly the Traverse City area to visit the beautiful wineries and the shores of Lake Michigan. During this week long trip, I love to show them that there is absolutely zero deprivation in eating whole real foods for a healthy lifestyle. I would tell them often, “See, I’m not deprived,” and encourage them to order what I order. “Try it, you’ll like it!” Now that I’ve lost one hundred pounds, I love to hike and explore the outdoors of Northern Michigan.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Shout out to the women who allow me into the most vulnerable parts of their story. I’m humbled that they come to me to help them pursue and finally find their freedom and success in their own life transformation and weight loss stories. My ministry would not exist to help others if not for this entire community.

I’m also eternally grateful to the low-carb community and in particular the good doctors associated with DietDoctor.com. I stumbled on their resources through a random Google search and my life was completely transformed. The Obesity Code by Jason Fung, MD changed my life.
