We had the good fortune of connecting with Christiana Ramey and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Christiana, can you share a quote or affirmation with us?
One of my favorite quotes is from Tabitha Brown. “The goal is for the plate to be full. We can’t complain when it’s time to eat.” My personal interpretation of that quote is…We all have dreams and goals in life which require hard work, creativity, ingenuity, risk, and sacrifice. Once you set things into motion, you can’t complain about how hard the work is or how overwhelming things may be. Things usually happen when you least expect it so you have to always stay ready. Therefore, when the plate is full, say Thank you Lord and ask for wisdom and guidance in clearing the plate each time. Because the ultimate goal is to keep the plate full.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I am a Chef/Caterer. What sets me apart is my presentation, style, and flavorful dishes. I’m most proud of my style and passion for cooking. Most people eat with their eyes first. If it doesn’t have a great presentation then I’m not going to eat it. That’s the same approach I take when cooking for others. I want to capture your attention with the presentation first which will entice you to taste my food. Getting to where I am today took a great deal of time and effort. It wasn’t easy but its been rewarding. I’ve learned many lessons along the way. Keep working hard to build my brand, remain consistent, stay true to my customers who trust me and always deliver a great product. I want the world to know that providing top notch food and service is extremely important to me. If it’s not my best, I won’t serve it! It has to be my best, because it represents me.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my best friend was in town visiting me for the week, I would take her to The Shed in Ft. Worth for dinner. We would spend an entire day in Downtown Grapevine visiting local eateries, enjoying drinks and appetizers. We’d take a fun trip to the Bishop Arts District for tasty bites and unique boutique shopping. We must go to Eddie V’s for the best Bananas Fosters EVER! Last but not least a trip to the shops in Allen, Texas

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to Shoutout to Yolando, Marcus, Cne, Chauncey, Uncle Eddie, Uncle Jake, Tan, Torina, Alicia, Demonte, my children, Paula, and so many more of my family and close friends that motivated me and encouraged me to step out in faith and JUST DO IT. You all are close to my heart and I’m forever grateful for the love, support, and motivation you give and show me daily. THANK YOU!!❤️
