We had the good fortune of connecting with Chrissie & Tierra Robinson and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Chrissie & Tierra, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?

Our thought process behind starting our business came about during the pandemic after we lost everything in an apartment fire. We wanted to create a business that didn’t feel like work. Something that we could enjoy doing together as mother and daughter. We shared the love of candles so we began researching. We joined groups on Facebook, watched YouTube videos, did testing and more testing and more testing until we came up with the perfect candle for our brand.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
What sets us apart from others our candles are hand poured with signature scents. We are proud of how our brand is flourishing and excited to showcase other products that we plan to add on in the future. How we got to where we are today was through alot of research and testing to perfect our candles. Working to come up with our scents, logo, labels, packaging and learning what would be best for shipping wasn’t an easy process but we were determined to succeed. The lessons we learned along the way is that not everyone will support you, branding is important and excellent customer service is a most! We want the world to know hard work, dedication, remaining humble and keeping God first is what has kept us on the right path.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
There are definitely plenty places to have brunch which is our favorite. We would take them downtown Dallas to site see, maybe schedule an appointment to fo painting with a twist and check out a comedy show.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
We would like to personally thank Joseph Gary and Ke’Elijah Bell for always motivating us and willing to assist when needed. Thanks to our family, friends and customers that continue to show support.
