We had the good fortune of connecting with Chris Armentrout and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Chris, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
Knowing your trade is very important to your success. With BBQ it takes a lot of practice to master the different meats and keeping the consistency of good quality BBQ to keep customers happy and coming back.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
My business is one that I’m passionate about and love watching it grow. You never know what to expect from day to day which for me is exciting. There’s a lot of great BBQ out there so you better have new ideas and make sure it’s perfect on every order. What excites me about my business is getting the feed back on how it’s the best que they’ve ever had. To me that’s the best reward. Longhorn Smoke BBQ strives on making the best BBQ with the best quality meats. We’ve put in years mastering the trade to make the best smoked meats to serve you!
Any great local spots you’d like to shoutout?
There would definitely be a BBQ vacation through the hill country of Texas to visit all the BBQ joints that have been around for years! Some of the most popular places like Franklins, Snows, styles and switch and many more. Texas has a lot of history and historical sites that have always interested me. I would love to share my states history with them. And finally you know there’s a lot of great distillery’s and breweries that have to be tasted. Texas has so much to offer that there’s no way I could ever get it all in a week.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My wife Kellie has always supported and gave me that extra push to build my business into a successful business. She’s a big part of the team that keeps it moving forward. Kellie always told me you need to start your own BBQ business and gave me that push to move forward and actually do it and pursue my passion of cooking. Without her and all the encouragement and support Longhorn Smoke BBQ wouldn’t be where it is today. Together we’ve made a successful business that only continues to grow and we couldn’t be more happy with its success.
