We had the good fortune of connecting with Anthony Benjamin and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Anthony, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I wanted to provide a mobile service that would help benefit alot of the families and busy clients that I have. I noticed a need for this type of service, and I always wanted to make things more convenient and practical. That’s why I love what I do so much, helping people out and maximizing their time.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Salon on the Go by Anthony was designed to bring the professional salon experience right to your door, anywhere in the DFW area. We specialize in all types of color, cuts, and hair textures. What sets us apart from others is that we take the time to make sure that everything is done to the best of our ability; from booking the appointment to servicing the client and cleaning up behind us. We always strive to make the client happy, that’s our #1 purpose. I believe Salon on the Go has gotten to be where it is today simply because hard work, dedication, and the everyday grind really does pay off. It took years and years of pushing my brand and getting out there rubbing shoulders with some amazing people..it was all worth it. I love what I do and who I do it for. Of course it was never easy, I never wanted it to be. I knew that all my hard work would pay off and it would take my business to the next level, where I always wanted to be. I’ve learned so many lessons along the way, from how to run my business smoother to avoiding things that waste time and money. It’s all a learning process that I have truly enjoyed over the years. I want the world to know that if a poor kid from Wichita Kansas can start with nothing..(no rich parents, no handouts, nothing) and start a successful business that is striving and growing year after year, you can do it too❤ KEEP PUSHING AND NEVER GIVE UP!!!
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Of course I would start at shops at legacy, one of my favorite spots in town!!! Legacy hall, mesero, and north Italia for sure!! Then we would cruise over to the Star in Frisco, love that area too.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Honestly I’ve had several mentors that were all amazing in their own way..I took something from each of them and put my own twist on it. That’s what makes life so beautiful!! But I would have to say most of all I really appreciate and love all my beloved clients, for without them I would never have my successful business and everything that has shaped me to become a better businessman and artist.
