We had the good fortune of connecting with Chelsea Morgan and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Chelsea, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
When it comes to risk taking, I personally run towards it. I put my all into whatever obstacle that may be in front of me at that particular moment. Growing up, when I was told that I was unable to complete a task due to age, past history, or even education, I made it a priority to prove to them that I could. I look at risk as an unforeseen opportunity. Someone has to be the first to do, first to see, and first to tell someone else. In my case, I strive to be the first to create something new and refreshing to others through artwork.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I formed Philocaly ART by Chelsea, LLC. last Summer during the pandemic. With the nation going through such a difficult time, I decided to create this company to give others a way to cope within the pandemic. My company brought an avenue for other to enjoy and create canvas art within their own homes. Initially it was risky, but with consistency and local support I was able to build my clientele.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
For friends visiting the DFW area, I would recommend the most popular restaurants and museums that we have to offer. I would also suggest a day or two of relaxation at local spa services downtown.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to thank God for his grace and his gift. I would also like to thank my brother, Rickey “Slikk Muzik” Offord, for being encouraging and supportive through it all.
