We had the good fortune of connecting with Cat Arce and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Cat, what habits do you feel play an important role in your life?
Habits that’s I feel have helped me succeed, are as such.
Having a mindset of “Gods plans is bigger and better.” Sometimes I get so hard on myself but have to remind myself to trust God throughout the process. Through the good and bad I know I will be okay. Sometimes we limit ourselves and don’t realize that there is so much in store when you give it to God. I also have tried to be as positive as possible. It’s easy to give up when things are not going your way but you have to stay rooted in knowing it will all work out. Be the light in the dark. Lastly I would say just being myself. It’s easy to blend in and adapt to feel liked, but standing out is better. You have to be confident in yourself and know that you will accomplish everything you set your mind to.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I feel like I am a little bit of everything. I am very creative and can learn almost anything in that space. I was working for a food distribution company but it was a very lonely job. I was given the opportunity to travel but that was the only good part. I’m exploring other avenues at the moment and utilizing the gifts God has given me. I love to make content and talk about my life and inspire others. I am just authentically myself. I don’t care if people don’t like me because I know little me would be proud of the woman I have become. I went through a lot to get here. I got bullied and moved schools and felt so lost for the longest. But God never left my side. I had to remind myself that there is a light at the end of the tunnel even when it feels like it’s just darkness. People can be mean but they are Miserable if they go out of their way to hurt you. But also hurt people hurt people. To be successful you have to push through adversity and go through times where people are pulling you down. I’ve learned throughout my life is that if you want something, especially for me it’s not gonna just be handed to me. I have to work 10x harder than those around me. But that’s okay because once you make it where you want to be it feels great that you pushed through without giving up. I want the world to know that yes life is hard, but what’s harder is knowing you didn’t give it your all to chase your dreams. You have to be excited and hungry to get where you want to be. I feel like I’m just getting started. I am trusting God and that’s the most important thing to do. Without God I am nothing. I have no purpose. God gives me a plan and purpose when I feel like I don’t know what I’m doing. I want to inspire young girls as well that their worth is not in social media or boys. I struggled with that very bad growing up and was constantly comparing and feeling like I wasn’t good enough. But what God says about me trumps allll of that. You can get consumed scrolling looking at unrealistic expectations. You start feeling fat ugly and poor. Social media is a lie. That’s why I keep it authentic and stay myself because there’s too much out there that is bringing out generation down. We need more leaders. Not woman being inappropriate on social media because girls see that and think that is how they have to act. Be yourself. Be authentic and good things will come your way.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I am such a go with the flow girl. I live downtown so I love walking everywhere. We will go to all the parks, klide warren, art district and walk everywhere. We will go to highland park and look at the big houses. We will go to flowerchild for lunch one day. Terry blacks for BBQ. Order ZAAP one night for takekout. I’m still new to Dallas so I love trying new spots and seeing the city so I just like to make everyday an adventure. We would def go to the TJ maxx by SMU, they have the best selection of all the TJ maxx in Dallas. I would hope my friend isn’t scared of heights bc I love six flags. I would also go to a rooftop pool. I just love living downtown because there’s so much right in front of us. We can make it an adventure everyday. We can play pickleball, go to a bar or just people watch!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
God! And my family. I’m not even close to where I want to be but if I didn’t have the foundations from my parents I would not be the person I am today. I was blessed to be adopted and raised in a christian two parent household. God has really blessed me.
