We had the good fortune of connecting with Carlos Rosales and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Carlos, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
I love to create something out of nothing. I love to write and film original stories. Collaborating and and making art of all sorts is what makes me happy, ultimately. Besides family of course. It’s what inspired me if I’m honest. The death of my father in 2018, is what caused me to fully take control of my creative venture.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I’m still at ground zero, honestly. Everything I do is out of passion, and borderline obsession. Every artist I’ve reached out to (bands, musicians and actors) is because I’m a fan and I want to learn and collaborate with.

I don’t have a team, fully yet. It’s not easy being a one man band, but the drive I have to create fuels the ship.

I want the world to know that I have a voice and vision, I’m here to create and grow.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I would definitely recommend the Pouring Glory or Hopfusion. Very chill locations, with great drinks and a laid back atmosphere, which I’m all about.

Alright, so let’s jump right in! The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there a person, group, organization, book, etc. that you want to dedicate your shoutout to? Who else deserves a little credit and recognition in your story?  
Obviously my family and friends. My biggest supporters. I have to give a special shout out to my late father. He passed away in 2018. It’s his death that truly caused me to focus on creating. It’s why I use the umbrella “One Three Films”. The date he passed away on, January 3rd, 2018.
