We had the good fortune of connecting with Carley Davidson and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Carley, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
It is nearly impossible to pick the most important factor behind succeeding in this business, but I would have to say staying true to who you are and not pursuing this passion for the approval of others. You’re never going to get where you want to go if you don’t truly be yourself and embrace that as well. Our mission is to inspire others to truly be themselves in whatever pursuit they follow. One last important factor is to remember why you started doing it in the first place, and not losing sight of that. Pursue your passion wholeheartedly.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
If there’s one lesson I’ve learned along the way of this career, it’s that you cannot compare yourself to others. The minute you start comparing, the minute you are limiting yourself. How are we supposed to know how far we can go if all we do is watch others do it? Make your own fate and never apologize for it!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
The first stop would be a Dallas Mavericks game. You cannot compete with the energy in that arena. Stopping by the Dallas Farmers Market is always a must. Food options always include: anywhere in Trinity Groves (Lexy’s, Saint Roccos, Temakeria), Rodeo Goat, and Vidorra. We would finish out the night at any concert we could find and have a great time.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
The first person that needs to be recognized is my husband, Adam. He has been on this journey with me and Maya since 2017, and he has loved and supported me deeply. I would also like to shoutout my soul dog, Maya. Thank you for sticking with me.
