We had the good fortune of connecting with bw and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi bw, any advice for those thinking about whether to keep going or to give up?
You know, when you have a passion for something, you really can’t ever give up, even if you try to. That passion will always drive you to come back to it. I have wondered about giving up on music a few times, but somehow it always pulls me back in. I think you’ll know it’s time to give up when your body tells you, just as it tells you it isn’t.Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
What I personally think sets me apart from others is my range of creativity and sound. I can vocally do a lot of different sounds well due to my musical background. I am currently working on an EP titled “Escape Plan” with a sound that I’ve never released to the world before, and I’m incredibly excited to share it. It shows a lot of the influence my childhood music setting has on me, with an alternative punk/pop sound to it. I think this work will show people how capable I am, because it is very different than anything I have released in the past.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Deep Ellum! DUH! It’s hard to really list any place in particular, I think Deep Ellum is one of the staples of Dallas, so anyone that visits here would have to go down there for a day and see what it has to offer. Angry dog for some drinks and bar food, maybe catch a show at the Bomb Factory or Trees, and maybe a tattoo at Elm Street. The possibilities are endless.The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I want to give a special shout out to my girlfriend Liz, and my close friends Sora and Rush. They are my support group in this music stuff. While I still have a long ways to go, these people always remind me why I do what I do and that it would be stupid for me to stop with the talent and potential I show.
