We had the good fortune of connecting with Brook Hall and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Brook, what do you think makes you most happy? Why?
Family is what’ makes me happy, they support me in all my crazy ideas and help me be the best version of myself.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I own a laser engraving business where we make custom products for other companies or home décor. What really separates us from other businesses like us is we have the ability to laser brand from full size cow hides to knifes and keychains. It was a huge learning curve, but didn’t take too long to get a hang of it, one of the worst challenges we’ve experienced was our laser was having our main laser machine go halfway underwater from a flood we had here in iowa laser year. Luckily most of the important laser components we undamaged but learned a lot more of how to problem solved and work on laser machines. If the world had to know something about our small business is that we strive for excellence with everything we create, my family supporting me pushes me to be better every day.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Let’s say if we have company coming from out of town, we’d definitely be taking them to the near by parks get the kayaks out and crack open a couple cold ones. There’s a few fun spots near by including county fairs, winery’s, trap shooting, axe throwing, etc. If they’re up for a drive, Galena IL is a beautiful tourist location many historical museums and an amazing sky resort. The best place to wind down and relax is the comfort of our backyard with the atmosphere of the river and the bond fire.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My husband Reed has always been there for me, we are lucky enough to be best friends and business partners it makes the Chaos of running a business so much easier.
