We had the good fortune of connecting with Brittany Alexander and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Brittany, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I was at the lowest point in my life in the summer of 2015. I only had $100 dollars to my name I told my self it is now or never, I took the first $50 and order me a logo- took the other $50 designed me a web page. With in that first month I started having clients. I too that leap of faith knowing that God had my back.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Simplicity Bakery & Catering runs off of Love. I put love into everything I do if its with Catering or baking. When people taste my food I want them to feel that this came from love this is a home cooked. That is what sets me apart from others. My food speaks for itself and every person that has order from me knows that, and that is what motivates me to keep going everyday. The reaction on there faces is priceless and it keeps me going. Being were I am today was not easy I literally had to go into tunnel vision and stay focused on my business to get where I’m at today which is successful !

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
For all that know me Downtown Dallas is my area. I actually take everyone there now -even friends on my social media always ask were do I find these places! I love roof top vibes, my favorite place to go to is The Statler on Commerce St. in Dallas, the vibe is amazing the drinks are strong and you get beautiful view of Dallas.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
All the people that are close to me that believed in me I owe this to them. If I didnt have toyr support love and dedication to what I believe I wouldn’t be here. I would like to thank Josh P, Eboni P, Kwasi, Marshuan, Shaniqua B., Teshea, Te’Area, Lanora, Devynn and last but least Marcus C. one of my biggest supporters and all of the people that shared and recommended me. I THANK YOU FOR MY SUCCESS.
