We had the good fortune of connecting with Barry “ TheStarsBarber” Hairston and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Barry “ TheStarsBarber”, looking back, what do you think was the most difficult decision you’ve had to make?
The most difficult decision I have had to make was to continue with my career as a Barber vs getting a job , even when I was barley making any money .

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
So what sets me apart is that I what to be different, be myself that way my work my brand is more authentic. And what’s crazy is when I think about my journey my path it was difficult but it was fun , like the process of watching it all come together. I learnt a lot of lessons like relationships matter , it’s how the business is done . I want the world to know that my brand is a brand of “ excellent “ and definitely for those customers who demand 1st class service .

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
We would go to The Boiling Crab 🦀, Kountry Kitchen, Yard Bird . They have the best food and drinks .. omg 😱 Definitely a Mavericks game .

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
God ! My wife Tonya Hairston ( believed in me from day 1 “ And everyone that loves and supports me on a daily .
