We had the good fortune of connecting with Barbara Hill and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Barbara, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
Location, location, location. Back in 2013 when the idea of Willow Creek came about there were very few venues of our kind, and there none south of Dallas. We were helping a friend’s daughter look for venues and saw the need for something in our neck of the woods.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
We are always trying to improve the couple, guests, & vendor experience. On an average wedding day, over 150 people walk through our door. It is our goal to make sure each of those people walk away having had an experience that lets them know we care. Our property is not only beautiful, but it is designed to be user-friendly and functional for the day’s activities.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Our preferred vendors from the beginning. We were new to the wedding world, and the team of vendors we met our first couple of years became somewhat of our business partners. Rebecca Chesney photo & film, Accent Floral & Design, and Sweets by Belinda started working with us our first year, and we still work with them today. We all were in the beginning stage of starting our businesses and worked really well together. It was our beginning to our Willow Creek community, and now we have so many amazing vendors that we work with.
