We had the good fortune of connecting with Ashtonee Bryant and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Ashtonee, how has your work-life balance changed over time?
When I first began in business, especially when I was a single mom. I discouraged myself trying to create a balance that didn’t exist. I now actually don’t believe there’s really balance, I believe that we must always simply be aligned with everything we do. The more aligned I am with what I’m called to do day by day moment by moment the more ease and productivity I actually have.
What should our readers know about your business?
I am a Real Estate Investor that focuses on building wealth through multifamily assets and Digital Business Coach that focuses on helping momceo’s make more impact and income. I recently this year launched a private champagne vibes community called “Luxury Minded Mama” centered around this, a lot of moms like myself feel shamed for wanting and even having a luxury mom lifestyle. As moms in business we are made to feel guilty for wanting to have nannies, housekeepers, and basically the luxury of time freedom so that we can be present stay at home moms but also make money on our time in our way.
I pride myself on rewriting that narrative through my community, coaching, and digital courses. We teach our moms to identify and embrace their own luxury vision and align with that vision, while unapologetically dismissing the toxic mom culture that says motherhood has to be a hindrance or hurdle to building a business. We believe in the power of perspective and simply identifying what aligns for you day by day as a mom and business owner. This naturally takes away our mom guilt and the built up frustration and resentment that we can build as moms when we don’t do what is aligned with our own vision.
Building a business and a personal brand is a constant process of personal development and growth and I’m excited that I’ve found a way to deliver that message to as many people as possible. In my opinion this is why so many businesses give up and fail. They don’t know themselves and or they aren’t willing to do the hard work that is required to expand to new levels. I pride myself in being a person constantly hungry to learn and grow. I grew up in a home where there was a strong poverty mindset and that always was hard for me because I’ve ALWAYS believed anything is possible. My mom would tell me I had champagne dreams and beer money. This has been something I’ve had to learn to unlearn because ultimately money is an energy and believing that you lack money or that money is in your way will keep money far from you. I’ve learned money cannot be your enemy it has to be your friend. Motherhood and Business is the same if you decide consciously that it is good, luxurious, exciting and fulfilling then the two work together instead of against one another.
Building a business and evolving into who God’s called me to be is certainly not easy and it’s an everyday journey. I’ve had so many obstacles from being a broke teen mom, to getting married and divorced, being homeless at one point, and having major issues when it came to money. I had to decide that none of these things defined me and that I still had an opportunity to change my life in a major way. This required a lot of resilience, learning, unlearning, changing my environment and the people around me, as well as investing in mentorship, books, and serious therapy. Your mindset will get you anywhere you want to be but can also get you everywhere you DONT want to be if your not self aware.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Now as you can see I love a good luxury experience in every part of my life. Which means I like to be in places that look much like the vision I have for my life.
I love a good day party at the Statler roof top pool, The Joule Spa is hands down the best spot to relax and get the best massage.
One of my new favorite restaurants is Anchor Sushi it’s a very cute and cozy feel with some of the best sushi. I am a huge reader and one thing I’ve always done is visit libraries, so one of my favorites to take my kids and myself to is the Frisco Library. Legacy West is also another favorite area to people watch and connect with good people you’ve never met before.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I first and foremost would definitely not be where I am without God’s grace and mercy. Secondly, I am a firm believer and living testimony that there is currency in community and I have been blessed to be poured into by some amazing individuals and mentors. One of my mentors Ronne Brown the CEO of Herlistic and Girl CEO has been such an inspiration and road map for me. Her honesty and commitment to her mentee’s growth is unmatched. I also am extremely grateful for Behind The Scenes Agency of Dallas for not only always capturing great photos for my brand but also building a solid relationship with me and giving me the confidence and direction I needed to really step into everything I’m doing. I also would not be where I am with out my spiritual mentors, my kids, and my husband because they ultimately are the inspiration behind what I do.
