We had the good fortune of connecting with Ashley Wolfe and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Ashley, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
Being a stay at home mom is so rewarding but can be incredibly lonely. Especially if you don’t have family around or friends. I wanted to create a safe environment for moms to get together with their children, feel loved and connected. I saw a mom in Orange County create a walk for moms in her area and had such positive feedback. I knew DFW moms needed something similar.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Being a first time mom had it’s challenges. We are going through all the hormone changes, trying to get to know our new babies, and getting the hang out motherhood. You know the saying “it take a village to raise children”, well some of us don’t have that village. I went through postpartum anxiety, which is unfortunately very common. After a year I finally started feeling like myself again and feeling like I was getting the hang of motherhood. One thing that really helped me was getting outside. Whether it was to the park or just going for a walk. I saw a mom in Orange County started getting moms together at a local coffee shop, grabbing a cup and going for a walk together. I started reading the comments and saw there was such a need for this in cities everywhere. There isn’t really anything like that here that’s free. So I decided that there has to be other moms that felt the way I felt. I’ve actually met so many amazing moms that just need community. Moms are always giving and filling everyone’s cup, figuratively and literally, I just want to create an environment that moms get their cup filled to. We’ve actually had some amazing sponsors for our walks finding ways to give back to our moms. It’s definitely been an amazing experience.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Any chance we get we spend our time in Southlake and Grapevine. The Bicentennial park out in Southlake is so nice and my little boy loves to play there. We will usually eat at 54th street, or at esperanzas in Grapevine. We love grabbing coffee at SummerMoon. We love checking out all the historic towns nearby.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I’d love to shout out The Mom Walk Collective. They really opened the door for me to gain the confidence to create a social gathering for other moms here
