We had the good fortune of connecting with Antoinette Walton and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Antoinette, is your business focused on helping the community? If so, how?
My business, We Empower Her is focused on empowering Women and girls in all aspects of their life from financial to building relationships , etc!

We believe that the key to a woman’s success is feeling empowered to do whatever she puts her mind to.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
We Empower Her hosts monthly free webinars for women on various topics to help with enriching their lives. We also host private and public Women’s Empowerment events.

I am most proud that my organization is able to reach women in multiple locations and provide them tools to be an empowered woman!

I got to where I am today by starting focused and staying consistent. When people see that you are serious they are more likely to support you.

A challenge that I’ve had is that sometimes people do not come to my life webinars. My goal is to educate the community of women so, to overcome that I realized that if we don’t have live participants, I can still record and allow people to view on YouTube, that is my good deed to the community!

I want the community to know that I am a woman that has not always felt empowered. I had to learn that, and once I learned how to Empower myself, I wanted to share this with my community of women!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
We would go to the Sugar Factory in Dallas, it is a fun night time activity.

If we wanted to party, I would take them to Fushas in Arlington.

To eat daily, Taco Vato in Arlington has AWESOME tacos!

If we were to attend church, I would take them to Grace Metroplex!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would like to shout out to the strong women in my life. My mom, Marie Lillard, my aunt, Regina Greene-Johnson and my Grandmother, Pearlene Greene. They are examples of what a woman can do when they are empowered.

I would also like to recognize my sorority, Sigma Chi Psi, for providing me opportunities to be empowered which was instrumental in my creating my organization!
