We had the good fortune of connecting with Angelica Carr and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Angelica, how did you come up with the idea for your business?
I have been a yoga student for two decades and a yoga instructor for five years. So I practically live in yoga clothes. I always had a hard time finding fitness clothes, especially leggings, that fit my body shape. In 2017 I decided to create a line for women of all shapes and sizes. Also, our clothing isn’t just for working out. You can use it for anything from running around town to a night out on the town.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
We want everyone to find their fit, so we make Two Diamond Fit clothing for everyone. We love helping our clients find their perfect match. Our activewear feels great and will reveal your beauty. Owning a business has been challenging. There are many hours of work to get out and promote Two Diamond Fit. I love doing pop-ups at local markets and studios to introduce Two Diamond Fit and meet people. There are also countless hours spent running day-to-day operations. Maintaining a healthy work and life balance is difficult.
It has been really rewarding to follow my dream and meet incredible women. Two Diamond Fit has so many beautiful supporters. I cherish all the amazing friendships I’ve made along the way. I want to inspire other women to believe that anything is possible and to follow their dreams.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Since I just moved to North Dallas a few months ago I would take my friend on road trips to all the unique areas in and around Dallas. I’m looking forward to immersing myself in the culture of Texas to enjoy all that it has to offer.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My father deserves a huge shoutout. When I was a little girl, he told me that I can do anything if I stay focused and work hard. He encouraged me to always strive to improve myself. I started Two Diamond Fit with my daughter and hope to pass on the same strong work ethic.
