Meet Anette Sandoval: Painter

We had the good fortune of connecting with Anette Sandoval and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Anette, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
Creating was always something I was able to do, but I never realized it was what I was meant to do. Now I’ve realized my full potential and it drives me do more every day.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
It’s never easy as an artist. People keep telling you to keep it as a hobby and keep it down until you’re done being successful. But what if that’s what will bring me success? I wasn’t able to settle down with that and I did what seemed right. I’m pretty certain this is what I’m suppose to be doing because it feels so right and that’s enough for me.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I would take them to eat at JINYA Ramen Bar. It’s the best spot to get some warm ramen! I also enjoy being surrounded by Dallas architecture and lights in downtown so I’d take a stroll at night. I’d stay in a nice hotel and order room service for the rest of the day. I like to lounge around and also get a bit of the night life.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to give thanks to my high school teacher Mrs. Richardson. I used to be in her regular painting class, but she was eager to take me out of that class. She was certain it wasn’t enough for my skills and wanted to see me expand. She kept pushing and trying to get permission to put me in advanced art classes. She did it and now I’m here doing what I should be doing.
