We had the good fortune of connecting with Andi Willis and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Andi, Let’s talk about principles and values – what matters to you most?
Two of my personal values are family and legacy, so it makes sense that I started a business that is based on those two principles. I believe that we are responsible for carrying on the legacy that our family members started generations ago. By preserving family photos and videos I work with my clients to become good stewards of their family’s history and memories. There really isn’t anything more important than our families, whether it’s the one we were born into or the one we create ourselves.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
My business, Good Life Photo Solutions, is dedicated to helping families save and protect their precious memories for generations to come. The ideas of family, legacy, and heritage are ones that have been with me from a young age, so it makes sense that I created a business that is inherently built on those values.
As a young child, I was intrigued by family history and discovering more about my family members who had lived generations before me. I also loved looking at old family albums. I also came from a family that had started several small businesses.
Fast forward to 2012. I had already started a successful residential organizing business. However, when I realized that people would also hire me to organize and preserve their family’s photos, videos, and memorabilia, I was hooked! I began transitioning my business over the next several years to concentrate solely on those family memories, and Good Life Photo Solutions was born.
Rebranding the business in 2018 and then relocating from Georgia to Texas in 2021 was not easy, but both were worth the struggle. I am passionate about helping my clients regain control over their photos when they are overwhelmed and lost. My clients become like family to me because they share their most intimate moments and personal events with me. I treasure the trust that they place in me, and I am honored to help them in their memory keeping journey.
I am also very fortunate that my business is an international one. I work with clients all over the United States as well as internationally. Working with a wide range of clients from various cultures and regions has served to underscore to me just how much alike we all are and that we all share so many common bonds of human existence.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
We live in the Benbrook area of Fort Worth and have truly enjoyed exploring the area during our year and a half in the area.
The first stop in our trip would, of course, be the Fort Worth Stockyards. We’d visit the longhorn herd and soak up the cowboy culture. Then hopefully, we can catch a great show either at Billy Bob’s or Tannahill’s Tavern. Afterward, we’d grab a drink and a snack at either the Hotel Drover or Atico.
Next, we would hop on our bikes and take a ride on the Trinity Trails. Along the way, we might stop at Clearfork for the Saturday morning farmer’s market or grab a pizza at Grimaldi’s. A little further down the trail, we’d stop for a snack and a drink at HG Supply and enjoy the scenery.
For an evening out, we’d start with craft cocktails at our favorite Blackland Distillery and follow that with delicious food at Blue Sushi.
One day, we’d take a short road trip to the Fossil Rim Wildlife Center in Glen Rose and take a drive through the animal preserve. The giraffes are my favorite! On the way home, we’ll stop off at Revolver Brewery in Granbury for a cold beverage.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My Shoutout is dedicated to The Inner Circle coaching group. My business coach Lisa Corrado leads this fabulous group of women entrepreneurs and is supportive, encouraging, and motivating. It’s incredible to be part of a group of supportive colleagues who lift you up at every turn and inspire you to be your best both personally and professionally.
