We had the good fortune of connecting with Alyshia Brown and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Alyshia, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
Starting Balloon Babes actually happened accidentally on purpose I would say. Between playing with a diy balloon kit, and the pandemic becoming our new normal-my new found love emerged. So when I say accidentally on purpose that is what I mean. Balloon Babes Events was started to help families have beautiful parties even in the midst of covid. Event venues were shut down, and that’s when the creativity and magic started to unfold. We saw a market that we had never seen before, people needing at home set ups due to everything being temporarily closed. Whether it was a drive by shower, graduations, or an intimate wedding, we have been able to help families still have the memories they deserve even during a global pandemic. We pride ourselves on being affordable and still delivering quality service to the community. Our event planning services and coordination is unmatched. We are truly a hidden gem. Balloon babes has always lived unconsciously in my heart, thanks to my biggest inspiration and business partner. She first- had a passion for planning events and envisioning original concepts effortlessly, and is an integral piece of the business. I couldn’t take all of the credit for balloon babes she is my ultimate muse. Balloon Babes Events is here to make a mark on the world, whether that looks likes giving someone the party of their dreams while capturing every tiny detail, or inspiring someone to live out their dreams I’m here for it.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I think what sets Balloons Babes Events apart from the rest of the competition is that we are a one stop shop! You don’t have to call and get a cake, or call to get a caterer and have a thousand different invoices to pay. We do it all for you! You have a complete set up of balloons and you’re event coordinated for you. I think my proudest moment of balloon babes is the fact that we’ve persevered through the pandemic.I mean we we’re scared to go to people’s home and set up, but guess what we kept going because we love what we do. When you love what you do there are no limits or bounds. My biggest lesson I have learned is there are no failures only lessons. And if you’re scared to do something just do it scared, you’ll get through it. I want the world to know that we are slowly rising to our full potential and you don’t want to miss out on that.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I love the bishop arts district! If you love some good bbq I would check out Lockhart smokehouse bbq, the bbq is so good even when I am just driving down 35 I will take a detour to get some to go!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My credit belongs to my business partner, my sister. She is the reason I am even doing the interview with shoutout dfw. An integral piece of the business and in my life. She is original, creative, and can coordinate any event whether she has 1 week or 24 hours she can create a masterpiece. I have never met anyone as talented, driven, or kindhearted as her. Balloon Babes Events is thriving due to her knowledge behind the marketing aspect.
