We had the good fortune of connecting with Allie Wickerham & Stevie Belair and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Allie & Stevie, putting aside the decision to work for yourself, what other decisions were critical to your success?
Go with the flow. As bizarre as that sounds, we wholeheartedly believe that deciding to not force anything throughout the whole process is what got us to where we are today. We joke that we have the worst business model that has ever existed; this business has never been about money for us. This business is a way for us to open doors for others to bring holistic healing and spirituality into their lives in a new way. We have remained true to ourselves and our morals, we have maintained our vision in the forefront, and allowed each decision to come naturally.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
The Crystal Bus. We are proud to share that we are DFW’s first and only Mobile Crystal shop. One year after opening our shop, we purchased an RV (whose name is Winona!) and converted her into our shop on wheels. After growing much faster than we could’ve ever anticipated, the time came to open a storefront. Having set roots down in so many different communities, we could not pick just one to settle down in. We discussed the concept of being mobile, and The Crystal Bus was born.

We believe that we are where we are today due to remaining unapologetically ourselves. We have stayed true to our vision, our clients, and our high standards in sourcing. The latter proved to be an obstacle in the beginning. With crystals becoming mainstream on social media overnight, the market became oversaturated with unethical, fly by night wholesalers. We never steered away from our beliefs, and the quality of our product and the relationships we have built are proof of that.

Feather Moon Crystals was built on a foundation of community, ethics, and personal growth. When you shop with us, you are with family; we continuously hear how we have built a safe space for others to learn, grow, and be authentically themselves. This is the most humbling sentiment that can be shared with us, as this was always the goal.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Oh my goodness, where do we begin?! In no particular order, some of our absolute favorite places to be: Apothenne for clean crafted candles & classes, House of Bones Chiropractic for an adjustment after a week of exploring Fort Worth, Summer Moon Coffee for an amazing latte, Salsa Limon for a late night snack and occasional karaoke sesh. We could easily list about 500 other incredible small businesses, these are some of the ones that we frequent the most.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
THE HUSBANDS! We are both so fortunate to have husbands who have always supported our dream. Matt and Dan have stood next to us, through the trenches, through the highs and lows, and always remained our number one cheerleaders. If it wasn’t for them, Feather Moon wouldn’t be who we are today.
