We had the good fortune of connecting with Alexis Regalado and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Alexis, what is the most important factor behind your success?
The success of my brand comes from the confidence and consistency I pour into it.

My passion doesn’t only revolve around fitness. I take a lot of pride in leading by example and lifting others up. Knowing that there are people who need a positive light in their lives pushes me to continue to shine my light.

My clients believe in me to be that person for them, leaving them a very important factor in my businesses success as well. Without my clients who allow me to impact their lives, I would not be here able to tell you about it!

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
My passion for fitness started after I prepped to compete in my first bikini body building competition. I was working in a restaurant full time, working out, and counting my macros. Shortly after, COVID hit. I prepped throughout the lock-down, maintained my diet, and did workouts with all I had (resistance bands and bags of water bottles for weights).

While doing that I decided to invest in myself and my future and study to get my NASM certification to become a personal trainer. I competed in my first competition and not too long after I passed the certification test. I didn’t go back to my old job after lock-down, I started training clients at a small gym in Oak Cliff called Oak Cliff Muscle Factory to get some experience in. I acquired my clients from marketing through Instagram and word of mouth.

After a couple of months there, I transitioned to Texas Family Fitness and increased my clientele and learned the ropes of the corporate world of being a fitness trainer. I spent a couple of months at Texas Family Fitness, then decided to go independent.

I am currently training clients at Self Made Training Facility in the Dallas Design District and I wouldn’t trade it for anything!

If you don’t like where you’re at in life, do something about it! Time, consistency, and dedication will take you to a much better place.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I’m not much of an itinerary person when it comes to trips; more go with the flow type of person. But, food is my favorite part about any trip so I would begin the week with with brunch in Dallas at Yolk; it’s my favorite brunch spot right now. I would also make sure that we go to Coyote Drive in Fort Worth for a movie and snacks, and a trip to the Bishop Arts District for a yoga class at Jungle followed by an iced dirty Horchata at Hola Cafe.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Band throughout middle and high school holds a special place in my heart. It’s not just about learning to play an instrument. I was involved in leadership roles and mentored by directors who saw leadership-like qualities that I wasn’t very confident in. The program helped me own my strengths.
