We had the good fortune of connecting with Alexcia Mombo and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Alexcia, how do you think about risk?
I would say taking risks has played a major role in my life as well as career, with NO RISK, there’s no REWARD. I have embraced risk rather than fear it. It is one of my greatest learning tools. Imagine if I’d never took the risk to become an entrepreneur? Where would I be? I couldn’t imagine. Is Risk taking scary? Of course! I’d be lying if I said it wasn’t, but I like to look at it as FAITH and not so much as risk. Take that risk, have that faith. Will you fail? It’s possible. Does that mean you give up? Absolutely not! The Biggest Risk is not taking any risk. When you take risks you learn that you will succeed, there will definitely be times you fail, and both are equally important because you learn from it. I’ve risked so much for my life and career and it has only brought me further to my goals, so I can’t stop now, I won’t stop now! I’ve already risked it, why stop? Ultimately My risks has been working and it’s because I have faith. I look at my Risk VS My reward. I Ask myself what will you gain from this risk? What will be your reward? And if that reward if far more better than that tiny risk….. TAKE IT! You won’t be sorry! Don’t think “what if I fall?” Oh honey but…..What if you fly? There is freedom waiting for you.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I’d say I’m most proud of seeing my lash brand in other makeup stores. I never would have imagine. I am excited to see new growth. Just watching the journey is already exciting enough. I’m also excited to see my brands in many more stores in the future! Was my journey easy? Not at all, funny thing is my journey is still continuing and I’ve hit many bumps down the road but I never give up, I always find away around it. I would say now that I am in a Leadership position Overcoming challenges are easy when you just push forward. You remember why you’re doing it. Don’t look back, don’t dwell on the past. The most important lesson I have learned along the way is too focus on your future. The future is always brighter! If there was anything I would want the world to know is that……. I’m Coming for the TOP SPOT and I will NOT STOP!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
So many choices! I would eat at Gloria’s in uptown! They had great food and the Drinks….. BOMB! Tate’s in uptown has food, great music and great drinks! Such a fun atmosphere An Interesting place I’d take a friend to would be this place off mockingbird called “Can you rob a bank” it’s like an escape room. Definitely would visit the arboretum, the Dallas aquarium, some hiking trails and check out some museums!
