We had the good fortune of connecting with Alexandrea Cohen and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Alexandrea, do you have some perspective or insight you can share with us on the question of when someone should give up versus when they should keep going?
Its not so much about if you should keep going or give up. I find it is about growing and pivoting. For the past 12 years I have had this vision of empowering women through fashion & creativity. Showing women how powerful they are allele while I style them. Im not saying it has been easy, there have been many sleepless nights, days filled with anxiety & tears of fear or frustration. But I always have to remind myself that “If I don’t do it, Someone else will”. As soon as I remind myself of that, it propels me into another mindset and shows me that I am capable of anything I set my mind to. I have proven that to myself time & time again. Ideas & visions always need a timeline. Every idea you have it worth exploring because you never know what could come from it. Styled by Cohen, was not always Styled by Cohen, but I had a vision that I wanted to see to the end- and now that I have accomplished certain milestones in my career it is time to keep adding to those visions and build even more. Whatever your vision is, don’t give up. Pivot, add and make it a reality.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I think what I am most proud of is that I’ve never given up and I wake up every morning thankful that I get to do what I love. When you’re an entrepreneur, your road map is never easy & you have to remind yourself every morning that it is you that needs to show up. My brand is all about making people feel beautiful and empowered. Through Fashion Styling, I get to know my clients on a personal level and really dive in on what they are looking for. I feel that we are all expressive and I love being able to bring that to light for each and everyone of my clients. Styled by Cohen is ever evolving and I am excited to not only build my brand through Fashion Styling but also adding a new project that will showcase women who have made a difference in their community & who have paved the way in their industry. Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Dallas is all about exploring! Stopping at Enos for some pizza & then Revelers Hall for some live music! Such a great weekend spot.
