Meet Alena Fisher | CO-Owner of Bellancio

We had the good fortune of connecting with Alena Fisher and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Alena, alright, let’s jump in with a deep one – what’s you’re definition for success?
For me, success is not an endpoint — it’s a process. It’s the mix of experience, growth, and genuine love for what you do. In today’s world, not everyone gets the chance to work where they truly want to be, and many people sacrifice what matters most for “pseudo-success” or what looks good in the media.
To me, real success is doing work you enjoy, improving with every project, and creating something that makes people feel happy or seen. Success is when you may not be at the final version yet, but you can clearly see your progress. Success is also when you are able to make mistakes and they don’t ruin your world — they’re simply another chance to find a new way.
One more thing I count as success, especially for myself, is having balance in life between work and family. Success for me is when I do enough in my work and also spend quality time with my family. It means your career and your family are not in conflict or out of balance, because both of these things make you happy — you just need to find the right balance.
If I summarize it all, for me being successful means being a happy person (hehe). That’s real success for me.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Bellancio Photography is completely unique — and that’s what makes me most proud of it. We are the first subscription-based photography company offering unlimited professional photo sessions year-round for just $17.99 per month. Our clients don’t book just one session — they subscribe to a lifestyle of memories.
With Bellancio, families can capture every important chapter of their lives: proposals, engagements, weddings, maternity, newborn moments, baby milestones, first birthdays, anniversaries, holiday sessions, pumpkin patches, Christmas, and so much more. We believe life doesn’t happen once — it happens every day — and every moment deserves to be remembered.
Our mission is simple but powerful: to show people that their lives matter and that their memories deserve to be captured without stress, pressure, or financial burden. We want to be a “photography company for life.” Professional photography should not be a luxury reserved for a few. It shouldn’t cost half of someone’s salary, require months of saving, or force people to choose which moments are “important enough.” All moments are important.
Getting to where we are today was not easy. When we first introduced this idea, many people found it hard to believe. In their eyes, it looked impossible — unlimited sessions at such an affordable price felt too good to be true. Trust was one of our biggest challenges. But we built Bellancio intentionally with heart, transparency, and value, knowing that people would need time to understand and believe in a new model.
Every day, we continue educating, showing our work, surprising our clients, and creating with love. Slowly but surely, more subscribers join us — first the curious, energetic, open-minded people who love innovation, and then others follow, almost like a magnet. That’s how change always happens: brave people go first, and the rest come when they see it works.
The biggest lesson I’ve learned is not to give up just because growth isn’t as fast as expected. If you truly believe in your product, treat your clients with care, and consistently give your best, things move exactly as they should — in their own time.
What I want the world to know about Bellancio is this: we are here to change how people experience photography. We are here to celebrate life — all of it — and make professional memories accessible to everyone. And sooner or later, Bellancio will be part of people’s lives everywhere, helping them capture their stories with joy, ease, and love.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Because of our photography company, Bellancio, we get to explore so many beautiful places, so showing my best friend around would be easy and exciting.
I would definitely start with the Dallas Arboretum. It’s one of the most stunning gardens I’ve seen across many states. Every season feels completely different — spring is full of color, summer is vibrant, fall is magical, and winter has its own quiet beauty. It’s a place that instantly makes you slow down and appreciate life.
Next, I would take them to Adriatica Village. This place feels like stepping into Europe without leaving Texas. The architecture, the atmosphere, the small cafés — it’s perfect for walking, talking, and just enjoying the moment.
Another must-see spot is the Mandalay Canal Walk. It has a beautiful Venetian vibe, especially in the evening. Walking along the canal, grabbing a drink nearby, and enjoying the reflections on the water always feels special and relaxing.
Of course, we’d mix in great food, coffee spots, and casual hangouts along the way — places where you can sit, laugh, and truly connect. For me, the best experiences are not rushed. They’re about atmosphere, beauty, good conversations, and creating memories — which is exactly what we try to do through our photography every day.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to dedicate my shoutout to my husband—he’s also the co-owner of Bellancio—and to all of my kids (including my furry one). Their love, patience, and support mean everything to me and make it possible for me to do what I do.
I also want to give a huge shoutout to our clients and the families who trust Bellancio and support our unique business model, like unlimited sessions year-round. Thank you for letting us capture your lives—your proposals, how your family grows, the birth of your baby, your baby’s first year, and so many other important moments. Your support, referrals, and kind words are the reason we’ve grown.
