My favorite quote is, “Your attitude determines your altitude.” In which I interpret this as the more positive your attitude is towards things (or moments), the higher you will elevate through life. Having a positive attitude isn’t just related to being able to smile and put on a happy face. It’s also related to being able to respond positively to allow us to accept push back, constructive criticism, and dilemmas. Within any business, all entrepreneurs will have instances where they experience many push backs. “When you own your breath, no one can steal your peace.’ I love this quote because I find it to be quite true. Along with learning to control the thoughts and calm the mind; if you can control your breath you may also calm the mind. When we worry about the future, what others may think or do, we give away our power. When we take control of our own faculties we can respond to life calmly, rather than react. Mediation helps with mindset, much like breath work or pranayama helps with our physiological response to stress.
