We had the good fortune of connecting with Bella Fellows and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Bella, how has your background shaped the person you are today?
I was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas. I grew up in a very music-oriented family, where almost everyone was a musician. My grandpa is a legendary tejano singer and bass player, my dad is an amazing guitarist, and my brother is a talented singer/songwriter. Growing up around my musical family has helped shaped my love for music and singing. I remember always being so inspired by seeing my family play live shows around town or listening to songs my brother would write. Eventually, I started writing, recording, and performing by the time I was 14 years old, and have been dedicating my life to it ever since.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
In my career, I am most proud of the fact that I am growing more confident in my songwriting. My first two singles, “Lighter” and “Starstruck” were both written by my very talented brother Alex Chavez. At the time I was 14 years old and was very insecure about my songwriting. I was always writing material in my journal but was always too shy to show anyone because I was afraid of what people would think. When I was about 18 years old, I began to get more serious about songwriting and wrote my first original single, “Dreaming”. A year later, I was in the studio pitching my songs for the first time ever to my producer, Mack Damon. I was very surprised when he told me he loved my songs and wanted to work with me. Since then, I have become more confident in the art of songwriting and have released two singles as an official songwriter. The most important thing I learned from this experience is that you should never let other people’s opinions keep you from doing what you love. Don’t be afraid to take that leap of faith, because you never know what could happen. My latest single, “Little Bit of Love” is out now on all music streaming platforms!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
There are so many amazing places to go to in San Antonio! It’s a city full of amazing small businesses, restaurants, shops, and tourists sights. For food, I would definitely make plans to eat at Good Time Charlie’s, Josephine’s Street, Sam’s Burger Joint, and any place with live music! There’s nothing better than a meal with a really good band playing. For shopping, I would take my friend to The Historic Market Square, where there are so many small business vendors and shops to support. I love going to the market and buying myself amazing Mexican cultured products, while enjoying a Gordita. They also have live music every weekend, which is a plus! Lastly, my top tourist spot to visit in San Antonio would be the Tower of the Americas. The view of the city from up there is absolutely stunning!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would love to give a shoutout to my parents! They are my number one supporters and are always striving to help me further my music career everyday.

They have helped me gain many amazing opportunities in my singing career and I couldn’t be more grateful. They are always at every show, every recording session, and by my side every step of the way. I love them to death and I don’t know what I’d do without them! I love you mom and dad!
