We had the good fortune of connecting with Adrienne LaShe and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Adrienne, what’s the most important lesson your business/career has taught you?
The most important lesson I’ve learned was to stay consistent and do my own research. A lot of times in my field there are so many people giving you advice or telling you what you should do. It gets overwhelming and I definitely was taught to follow my instincts and do my own research.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I am a singer, songwriter and musician from Inglewood,Ca. I play the piano, acoustic guitar and clarinet. I have been Singing since I was 3 years old In choir and songwriting since I was 10. I started writing poetry And would put melody’s to my poetry and eventually started writing songs. I want to say my first actual song I wrote, I was 12 and it was so funny because even at 12 my writing was beyond my years. I’m an intellect so I love building words into stories. What sets me apart from other artists is that I know my lane, I know I’m capable of doing so many things. I don’t limit myself on subjects or content and I constantly set the bar. I’m not afraid to push the envelope. I feel like if someone is going to be uncomfortable with their craft they might as well find something else to do. I’ve done so many things in my musical journey that people don’t even know but what got me to where I am was definitely separating business from personal and being professional. The biggest thing I can tell people is don’t burn bridges in this business and continue to network. I definitely make sure I always give my fans what they want so there’s something for everyone. This journey is not easy there were times I wanted to quit but my love for the music is what stopped me every time.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Well I’m originally from L.A and now that I live in Dallas I’m still learning the city but I would have to say we would start with lunch at Knife in Dallas it’s a steak house and it’s so good. My friends are like me and we like shopping so we would hit up the galleria the have lunch at Cheesecake Factory and hit the town afterwards. We would definitely hit up some concerts, museums and bookstores we would definitely have a great time.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
There are so many people that have been a pillar in my success and my musical journey that it would take all day to thank them. I’m definitely going to name the people that support with no conditions and the first shout out would have to go to my mother, my aunts and my grandmothers who are also singers and musicians. My best friends Alebelle, Wendie and Michelle My music mentor Brandon O-Soul. and there are a slew of artists that are super supportive that it’s hard to name them all but they definitely know who they are.
