Meet Elizabeth Almaraz | Eyelash Extension Specialist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Elizabeth Almaraz and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Elizabeth, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I loved the confidence and how beautiful eyelash extensions made me feel. I knew this was a feeling I wanted other women to experience. While scrolling through social media, I came across a new enrollment session at Glance Lash Academy in Fort Worth. I contacted the school, did some research, created a plan, and then enrolled at GLA. After graduating GLA and passing the state exam, I became a licensed Eyelash Extension Specialist. I applied for a LLC and now I am the proud owner of Bella Lashes By Liz, LLC. I am passionate about what I do and want all of my clients to feel beautiful, confident, and to love their custom eyelash extensions that I am able to create for them.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I take pride in my work and love being able to create fun sets for my clients. I love that every client’s eye is different. From eye shape, to the length, and amount of the natural lashes. Every set is therefore handmade and custom to fit their eyes. Even though it can be challenging at times, seeing their reaction afterwards is everything to me. Being in this industry can be challenging and stressful but practice, motivation, and drive keeps you going. Having these things helps build a successful you overall. It isn’t easy but giving up will never be an option. Lessons I’ve learned along the way are… Never give up no matter how difficult things can be at times. Never compare my work to anyone else. Every lash artist is different. We have different styles, work methods, and are at different stages in our journey. Continue your education. It is so important. Learning new techniques will only help you get better, invest in yourself and the growth will follow. Bella Lashes By Liz, LLC strives to make women feel confident and beautiful, I love my job and do everything with so much passion and purpose.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I’d like to take this opportunity to recognize and thank my instructor, now mentor Gabriela Guajardo at Glance Lash Academy. She has been very helpful and encouraging through this journey of mine. She continues to give me advice on questions or situations I come across. I seriously don’t know where I’d be without her.

I’d also like to thank every single one of my girls. Thank you for choosing me and supporting my business. I’m thankful for the friendships that we have created. Every single one of you ladies is so important to me and I don’t think I can ever express enough gratitude and appreciation for you all.
