We had the good fortune of connecting with Mara Hauser and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Mara, is your business focused on helping the community? If so, how?
When 25N Coworking launched in 2015, I envisioned it as a way to ignite collaboration and productivity in the workplace. As an interior designer by trade, I wanted to create elaborate spaces that allowed people and businesses the opportunity to enhance the way they operate and create success within their organizations.
So, when the COVID-19 pandemic began, everything changed. No one knew what to do, and everyone had to make extreme life changes, especially when it came to millions of people working and doing everything from home. Now, almost two years into the pandemic, burnout is real. People are tired of looking at the same four walls in their house or apartment and calling it “going to the office.” I believe that our coworking spaces give people the option to get out of the house and alleviate some of that burnout.
All of the 25N Coworking spaces are specifically located in suburban areas rather than downtown destinations. We believe suburban areas are ideal for a coworking space because it simplifies the commute, allows people to be close to home and their families, but still gives them the freedom to get work done in a new environment.
When using our spaces, people have the ability to rent a space for a few hours, the day or week, versus having to sign a contract. Someone could have a meeting in one of our spaces or an ongoing place to work. We understand that businesses go through ebbs and flows, that’s why we make our spaces easy to rent. We launched 25N Coworking with the employee in mind, and how we can help make hybrid work models the new normal.
Our layouts are designed to fit every type of workers’ needs. Whether it be a space where you can collaborate with coworkers, focus in a secluded office, or even an outdoor space, 25N Coworking was made to bring out the best version of people. Our offices have helped in every community we are located in by giving coworkers an office where they and their businesses can truly thrive.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If I could design the perfect day with a friend, it would start with a crossfit workout at 25N Coworking’s HIIT gym, followed by 30 minutes on a Peloton at Waterford Market’s gorgeous indoor/outdoor gym space. From there, we’d go directly to Summer Moon in Downtown Frisco — they have the BEST coffee and the vibe there is so unique. Try a drink with their wood-fired espresso! Next, we’s pop back in to 25N Coworking for an hour or two in one of their meeting rooms to enjoy our coffee and answer emails — nearly all of my friends are like me and can’t go a day without getting a little work done… By that time, we’ll be ready for lunch at The Star (they have 19 restaurants!), including a stop for ice cream at Cow Tipping Creamery. Next, I would definitely want to take my guest to the National Soccer Hall of Fame — it’s such a gem here in Frisco and you don’t have to be a soccer fan to enjoy it. Then, without a doubt, we’d end up at Eight 11 Place for my favorite charcuterie boards and wine selections. Also, I would be remiss if I failed to mention my personal favorite Frisco community influencer Breshell West, who always has her finger on the pulse of new and noteworthy dining and entertainment — I always trust her recommendations!
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Without a doubt, my husband Randy deserves recognition in my story. He has, from the very beginning, always supported my role as a mother AND a business owner/entrepreneur without question or doubt. In our home, we make decisions together and share family and parental roles as 50-50 partners. He gives me the grace to be who I am and to accomplish my goals on a daily basis.
