We had the good fortune of connecting with Demone and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Demone, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
I kept seeing family members around me hate their jobs, so as a kid it was already in my head. I want to do something that actually makes me happy and being creative gave me just that. Being able to create freely is truly a beautiful thing.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
A majority of my art is a reflection of my environment. What sets me apart from others? Mhmm, hopefully my work speaks for itself and separates its self. I’m still very early in my journey so I hope to have my work doing that type of talk eventually. I’m most excited to see what opportunities await me after graduation. I still go to college so sometimes it feels like like I’m pushing in 2 different directions. That next question is good, being GENUINE we live in a world where social media acts as a mask and we all know that. I like to think people appreciate authenticity.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I would take them on a hike then to my favourite pizza spot called Main Street pizza. At this point maybe heading to the beach. The trails here are exciting, you get amazing views of the city on hikes/trails.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
OHHH okay okay, in that case, besides my parents giving birth to me, it would be Thomas W. Thomas is a Graphic Designer and so much more. He is like a mentor to me and I strongly believe that I wouldn’t be at the point I am now, without him. With that said, I would also like to shoutout my significant other Madeline L. Madeline takes all my photos so I really could not do a lot of my projects without her.
