We had the good fortune of connecting with Whitney Wehring and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Whitney, how do you define success?
I believe that success is having the love, admiration, and respect of the people that you are closest too, and living up to their expectations of you. Remaining humble in the wake of success is important for continued success. And finally, success to me is being in the position to help others, resulting in a sense of personal contentment.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
My work ethic is what separates me from others. I believe you cannot fake effort. We all have proficiencies and deficiencies in our professional background, but a common thread amongst all successful people is a relentless work ethic. We face challenges everyday at the Carwash. Its one of my favorite parts about my position with Tommy’s. I truly enjoy being hands-on and remaining steadfast in our solution-oriented mindset on a daily basis. I want people to know myself and my business will always deliver. Period. I will always strive to create a positive outcome from any situation, and I will do it by putting my employees and customers first. I believe proof is in the pudding. My passion and effort will speak for itself by delivering quality product in an efficiently run business.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
DFW has so much to offer it makes it difficult to narrow down! There are so many niche suburbs to explore and they each bring a different vibe. It’s Texas, so for a BBQ visit I recommend Pecan Lodge in Deep Ellum. Great Tex-Mex is a must and I love Beto and Son in Trinity Groves. Their Nitro Margarita is a must try! Other favorites include Paradiso in Bishop Arts, Drakes on Lovers Lane and of course Uchi in uptown. The Joule is a chic place to stay and within walking distance to 4510, one of my favorite local stores. La La Land on Greenville is the cutest coffee spot in town for a pick me up. The Stockyards in Fort Worth let you step back in time to see some true Texas history. And the Dallas arboretum is beautiful year round.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
It would be impossible to talk about my professional career without mentioning the influence of my parents. My mother and father, Tom and Kim Miller, have been DFW business owners, entrepreneurs and philanthropists for over 20 years. The experience and memories of seeing my family grow alongside our family business is something that is very special to me. I’ve watched my parents grow a successful family business, Tommy Terrific’s Car Wash, while treating both the customers and their employees like family. I’m ecstatic to carry on these traditions while contributing to the reputation of the business. I can’t wait for you to experience our core values and customer service when you visit Tommy Terrific’s Car Wash.
