Meet Mick Rose | LD Systems

We had the good fortune of connecting with Mick Rose and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Mick, why did you pursue a creative career?
I pursued an artistic and creative career because music has always felt like a natural part of who I am. From a young age, I formed a deep connection to it through the music my mom played at home. Even though I didn’t fully understand it at the time, I knew I wanted to work in the creative space. I began expressing myself through poetry in grade school and later developed my performance skills by performing with friends at local clubs. Over time, that passion continued to grow and shaped my decision to build a life and career centered around creativity and music.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I’m excited about the future of LD Systems and the direction we’re headed as a Clair Global Brand. I’ve been here for the better part of almost two years, and the journey hasn’t been easy—but it’s been incredibly rewarding. Getting to where I am today took persistence, adaptability, and a willingness to learn as I went. There were challenges along the way, especially stepping into new responsibilities and navigating unfamiliar territory, but I overcame them by staying patient, asking questions, and leaning into collaboration.
What sets me apart is my commitment to growth and my belief in teamwork. I’ve learned that patience is essential and that teamwork truly goes a long way when you’re building something new. No meaningful progress happens alone, and being open to learning from others has made all the difference. What I want the world to know about me and my story is that I’m dedicated, forward-thinking, and excited about what’s next—focused on building, learning, and contributing to something bigger than myself.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my best friend came to town, the trip would be centered around live music and great vibes. During the day, we’d keep it low-key—coffee and relaxing before heading out for shows at night. Midweek, we’d hit a larger concert venue for a big show, then balance it out with more intimate performances where you really feel the connection between the artist and the crowd. Late nights would be for food, conversation, and soaking in the creative energy that comes with live music culture.
What makes the area special is how easy it is to find quality live music any night of the week. If you love concerts, there’s always something happening, and the mix of venues gives you a unique experience every time. In my view, one of the most fun, interesting, and exciting places to check out is Deep Ellum, with its vibrant street art, live music scene, unique local shops, and energetic nightlife that make it a truly unforgettable experience.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I’d like to dedicate this shoutout to LD Systems.
