Meet Zeke Forever | Artist
We had the good fortune of connecting with Zeke Forever and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Zeke, let’s start by talking about what inspires you?
Music has always been in my life, ever since I was a kid. So I will always be inspired by Pop and R&B music. I think working on the new era of music, I was really inspired by the idea of creating a space where I could put everything I’m feeling, everything I’ve learned, into one project. It’s about building a world that feels honest to me, sonically and emotionally.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Lately, I’ve been saying that my music is a sonic collage of what I love and everything happening now. I draw inspiration from a wide range of influences. I will say that I have been making music for a really long time. It all started at a young age with a Wii microphone. Where I self-produce and perform out in Denton, Texas. It has not been easy at all, but I have to remind myself that growth is not linear at all.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
My favorite place lately has been Oaklawn. (As basic as it sounds) The clubs in Dallas are way different in Dallas that they are in Denton. It’s also so nice to be around my own people. This summer, I danced like David did, and it felt like medicine. Oaklawn has contributed to that a lot. So we are going club hopping!
