Artistic and creative careers are among the most rewarding, but they also come with unique challenges. We asked some of the city’s best creatives to tell us why they choose to pursue a creative career.

So, we chose to pursue Wolves Reign as a band because we actively felt like we had a sound to offer that doesn’t exist in the dialogue of progressive music yet. For both of us, creativity has always been more than a hobby, it’s a way of thinking, problem-solving, and connecting with others. We were drawn to a creative career because we saw how much impact design and organization can have on daily life. For Miah, designing beautiful, inviting spaces is a way to tell a story and evoke emotion. For Chloe, creating function and flow is her form of artistry, bringing calm and order to everyday chaos. I pursued a creative career because I’ve always believed that God can be shared through more than just pulpits and pews. Creativity is a universal language — and I see art, storytelling, and design as powerful tools to expose people to God in ways that feel fresh, real, and relevant. As an educator, I saw how young people connected with visuals, music, and culture. In my opinion, creativity allows individuals to express themselves in a way that is unique to their desired communication method so I decided to become an artist as to assist with promoting the freedom of art.
