We had the good fortune of connecting with Adrian Reed and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Adrian, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
I feel that there is something missing in my life. I have been searching for years to who and what I want to be doing. I picked photography for my plan. I love taking pictures and going to different places and showing off my skills and work. Then, I chose modeling as well. I am good-looking and I have the body as one anyway. I want to find more happiness in myself instead of going to a job that is going to make me feel like I am nothing.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
My art is photography. What really sets me apart is that I keep going for myself while no one is around. Usually, I push myself to be the best version of me. But what I have is hope, promise, and tolerance. I take care to make sure that I get what I aim for, career or life wise, whatever comes my way. Today, I am boosting photos on Instagram and sending my photos wherever I can. I might not be where I want to be yet, but I will get there soon. Having hope and the perseverance is not for the meek, but as long as I have myself, I can get through anything. The lessons I learned is that most people try to make you feel that I can not do anything with my life. I learned that no one is going to have control over me and my thoughts and way of me being me. I want the world to know that I am going to achieve my promise that I made to myself, and that is to show myself that anything is possible.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
To be honest, I don’t really have the money to travel, nor do I have actual true friends. But if I did, I would take them around the center of Dallas. I would take them to see the giant eyeball downtown, walk some lovely hiking trails, and see some wonderful waterfalls. Then for eating, I would take them to Olive Garden or a sushi bar and grab some margaritas and talk about our day, what else to be doing for the night and see about the plans for tomorrow.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Not really much to say. I have always been my biggest fan. My parents didn’t really see me as someone who was confident in who they were. My siblings had their own thing, and I always ended up alone one way or another. I had to learn confidence and being who I am from myself and a few others online. Stars like, Rickey Thompson, Denzel Dion, GotdamnZo, Liza Koshy. Watching their work from where they were at the beginning to now always inspired me to always do my best. But, for my shoutout, it will be towards me for still being here, being myself for all this time.
