We had the good fortune of connecting with NiEtta Reynolds and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi NiEtta, what do you attribute your success to?
The most important factor behind my success is my passion for creativity, innovation, and commitment to quality, which enables me to provide a space where artistic expression can thrive. Creativity fuels everything I do, from curating the atmosphere of the space to supporting artists in sharing their vision. Innovation ensures that I’m always evolving—whether it’s by introducing new experiences, collaborating with diverse creatives, or leveraging fresh marketing strategies. My commitment to quality means that every detail, from the environment to the services offered, is designed to enhance the artistic journey. By blending these core values, I’ve cultivated a space where artists feel empowered, inspired, and supported in bringing their ideas to life. This dedication not only drives my success but also fosters a thriving creative community.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
My art is a reflection of storytelling, emotion, and culture, captured through the lens of fine art photography. I strive to create more than just images—I aim to craft visual narratives that evoke feeling, preserve history, and inspire creativity. What sets me apart is my ability to blend traditional photography techniques with a modern artistic vision, creating work that is both thought-provoking and timeless.

One of the things I’m most proud of is how far I’ve come as an artist. My journey hasn’t been easy, but every challenge has shaped me into the creative I am today. From self-doubt to financial hurdles, I’ve faced moments where I questioned my path. But through passion, persistence, and a strong support system, I’ve learned to push forward. My family, especially my parents and sisters, played a huge role in encouraging me to pursue my dreams.

Through this journey, I’ve learned that success is not just about talent but about consistency, resilience, and the courage to take risks. I want the world to know that my art is deeply personal—it tells stories, captures emotions, and reflects my perspective on the world. My story is one of passion, perseverance, and purpose, and I hope to continue inspiring others to chase their dreams, embrace their artistry, and never give up.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my best friend and I—both pescatarians—were visiting Dallas for a week, we’d be sure to enjoy a mix of fresh seafood, chicken, and delicious plant-based options. Here’s how I’d show them the very best of the city:
Day 1: Art and Culture Galore
We’d start our adventure at the Dallas Museum of Art (DMA), exploring incredible exhibits. Then, we’d head to Truluck’s for an upscale seafood lunch, known for its fresh fish and sustainable sourcing. For dinner, we’d enjoy the amazing seafood menu at The Oceanaire Seafood Room, offering everything from oysters to perfect fish dishes. To top off the evening, we’d catch some live music at The Kessler Theater.
Day 2: History with a Side of Seafood and Chicken
After a trip to the Sixth Floor Museum, we’d grab lunch at Fish Shack, a casual spot known for its fresh fish tacos and great shrimp dishes. Later, we’d explore the artsy streets of Deep Ellum, popping by the Pencil & Paper Gallery in the Design District for some local art. For dinner, we’d visit Ellen’s, where you can enjoy both seafood and delicious Southern- cuisine.
Day 3: Outdoor Adventures
We’d kick off the day at the Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden, then head to The Seafood Bar for a light, refreshing lunch. Their crab cakes and ceviche are perfect for a pescatarian lunch! For dinner, we’d enjoy Yardbird Southern Table & Bar—a must-visit their crispy fried chicken.
Day 4: Shopping and Exploring Hidden Gems
A trip to NorthPark Center and later, we’d explore the Dallas Farmers Market for artisanal goods. For dinner, we’d visit The Capital Grille, which has an extensive seafood menu, with the option to try their excellent lobster bisque. The Capital Grille also serves a delicious roasted chicken, a perfect alternative for those craving poultry.
Day 5: Discover the Unexpected
We’d start at the Perot Museum of Nature and Science, followed by a lunch at Meridian in the Design District, where they serve fresh seafood options with an emphasis on sustainability. In the afternoon, we’d head to the Bishop Arts District to check out local art and visit a few unique galleries. For dinner, Pappadeaux’s Seafood Kitchen offers a variety of flavorful dishes for pescatarians, but they also have excellent fried chicken and other chicken dishes.
Day 6: Let’s Do Dallas Nightlife
We’d spend the day at Klyde Warren Park, checking out food trucks with pescatarian-friendly options. For lunch, Ocean Prime would be perfect, offering delicious fish dishes and seafood salads. If we’re in the mood for a change, Pecan Lodge in Deep Ellum is known for its fried chicken and great BBQ options. For a late-night treat, we’d grab cocktails at The Standard Pour and chat about our week.
Day 7: The Best of Dallas and Relaxing Farewell
To wrap up the trip, we’d enjoy a light breakfast at Snooze, an A.M. Eatery, which has great seafood and veggie options. For our final lunch, we’d go to The Fish Market, where we can get a fresh platter of oysters and shrimp to say goodbye to Dallas. Finally, we’d have a relaxing dinner at The Boiling Crab—perfect for those who love seafood boils in a fun, and casual setting.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to express my deepest gratitude to my beloved parents, whose love and support ignited my passion for photography. At the age of nine, they gifted me my first camera, sparking a creative journey that has shaped my life. Their encouragement laid the foundation for everything I do.

A special thank you to my sister, Patti, whose unwavering belief in me has been a constant source of motivation. She has stood by my side through every step of my journey. My sister, April, also deserves special recognition for always pushing me to persevere and strive for excellence. Her encouragement has been invaluable.

I am also incredibly grateful to my mentor, Jesse Hornbuckle, for opening my eyes to the beauty and depth of photography. To Dr. Valerie Gillespie, thank you for guiding me through the art world and helping me refine my creative vision. And to Darin Triplett, your belief in me and the safe space you’ve provided have meant more than words can express.

Each of these incredible individuals has played a vital role in shaping who I am today, and I am forever grateful for their love, guidance, and support on this journey.
