Parenting is an incredibly important responsibility and so we wanted to get a conversation going with input from parents in the community. We asked them: what is the most important thing you’ve done as a parent? We’ve highlighted some of the responses below.

I was fortunate to work at American Airlines for over 12 years and that was just an amazing blessing. It allowed our family to travel all over the world and see different cultures, faiths, customs and ways of living. The children have experienced a wide repertoire of sights, smells, sounds, tastes, colors, faces and languages. Travel has allowed them to be more adaptable to changing situations and be more flexible with their needs. When at home in the US they eat with forks, in India they eat with their hands, and when in Japan, they use chopsticks. They are used to sleeping in their beds, sleeping on an airplane seat, sleeping on a bus/train or on the floor. Travel has also helped to ensure they are not picky eaters.
