Meet Erika Crutchfield | Rapper & Singer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Erika Crutchfield and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Erika, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
Well, I was always hearing how Jay-Z and other big time people had their own businesses and inheriting to their families. So I figured why can’t I do that for my family. I have plenty of talents so I started teaching my younger siblings, nephews, and nieces certain talents.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
See I’m different from most artist because instead of indulging in the way of music they have now, I’m trying to bring back what music was really all about. I take things I have been thru in life and let others know I do relate to them and they are not alone. I do my best to not let my music take a negative effect because I want people to grow from my words. I can say I’m very excited for growing myself at the pace I’m growing. It hasn’t been easy but it has been worth it. I fought many bad days by putting these difficulties in my music and just pushing harder. I build my brand off of everything I went thru and those I went thru it with. LegendaryBangBros (LBB) was founded June 31,2018, in the memory of my deceased best friend, Gavin Preston. So anything that deals with my brand or my brand deals with I take very seriously.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Well, my favorite spots in the city would be Downtown Dallas if we were to just walk around and enjoy a beautiful sight. You can ride the scooters or bikes, even the train is an experience itself. Now when it comes to eating my favorite place is gone be at my MOMMAs house. Nothings better than my step dad, Micheal, cooking. And momma know how to be barista so I can eat, drink, laugh, and chill. But if we had to go out I would take em to Aunt Irene’s, Lolo Chicken, Juicy’s Seafood, or Mr. Cajuns.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
First off I want to thank my mother, Loretta Price, simple for being the reason I’m here. Watching here struggle and work non-stop and being apart of her story. I have learned many things in in life that have made me a better person. Next, my thanks goes to my manager, Candy, for having faith in me and both my teams LNM and LBB for being behind me every step. These people have pushed me non-stop making me greater than I am.
